and1c
Looks a nice option. What about custom driveshaft and diff requirements though? Anyone know anyone who has done this swap
j_jza80
Looks a nice option. What about custom driveshaft and diff requirements though? Anyone know anyone who has done this swap Google says the 370z diff ratio is very similar to the TT auto. So an ideal swap for auto cars.

Iky
Does anyone know if the trans tunnel would need modifying? Other than the usual auto to manual trans tunnel conversion. I don't really want to be bashing the bulkhead in. Regards, Iky.

I don't really want to be bashing the bulkhead in. Regards, Iky. The gearbox is too big for the trans tunnel but the newest Collins kit let's you use the IS300 automatic bellhousing which fits fine. You will need to cut off the bellhousing of the Z box as it's all one piece.

RastaMc
For these conversion you dont need to cut the bellhousing. With the adapter between de motor and the gearbox this is a plug and play setup. By collinsadapter.com you can buy the whole kit, depending the HP you want to run. Like P-bazz with the 350Z I'm doing the swap with the 370Z gearbox and kit. I upgrade it by placing a Tilton slave cylinder instead of the weak one sold by collins. Right now I'm doing some measurements to build the perfect adapter ring to place the slave cylinder. So no doubt this is a good options conpared to the gold made V16-ish

RastaMc
It depends on which kit you buy. Using the Aisin A-340 bell housing kit you will need to cut the bell housing of the Z-trans to adapt an automatic 2jz bell housing. If you choose the other swap kits you will get the adapter and flywheel type needed and you will not have to mill the Z-trans bell housing. Just plug and play. For example the stage 4 or 5 kit. However you will pay more for these kits compared to the Aisin one but you will have less work and issues. Beside this you will not have the risk to damage the trans by milling the bell housing.
