Turbo Information please

Hi Guys

 

I am about to have my turbos refurbished, due to the dreaded blue smoke, by a friend who does this for a living, and has asked me what turbos they are so that he can order some parts to speed up the process so that he doesnt have to do it once the turbos are off as he would be looking at a few days turnaround.

 

My car is a J-Spec

 

I have tried looking through the search facility but am not getting any joy

I looked at that, but was not sure due to peoples comments

 

So it is the CT12? and as someone said the CT12b

if he refurbishes turbos for a living, I'd expect him to know already

 

The designation "CT12" may not be enough for someone to order refurb parts, it may be better for him to wait until he's opened up the ones you've got and verified what seals etc are needed.

 

The JSpec CT12s may present an extra challenge due to the ceramic turbines. Let him take his time, it's a bitch of a job taking them on/off, you don't want to be re-doing this again right afterwards, do you?
