Style
Suprasport in the Netherlands are doing rebuilds on them now I believe. Other than that, parts for them are pretty much non-existent nowadays
Supra-love
Well good news is here, is that I work for a motorsport company that engineers gearboxes and diffs for f1, touring, rally etc... so if it's difficult to find and source I can make them on homers... all i would need is the parts to copy! But, Can also get stuff in the states I think, and assume they would courier. http://www.jackstransmissions.com/collections/v160-transmission-parts Edited March 14, 2017 by Supra-love (see edit history)
Westy
All of the gears have been Re manufactured into billet items by a lad in the states...they aren't cheap though.
Guest Budz86
You could also go for a PPG straight cut gear set from Australia, but that's pretty aggressive for the street!
Frank Bullitt
I bet the whine would get on your nerves after 10 mins of driving.
Chris Wilson
Isn't it also a dog box? It would get around a very large percentage of OE parts in use, but a straight cut dog box on the road....? Nah! 25 miles from home to Oulton is bad, here to Donington is enough to make you glad to get out. In traffic? Appalling.
Jellybean
Arnout in Supra Sport has a few boxes built for a quick turnaround on an exchange basis http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?339919-V160-gears Luc got his box rebuilt by Jacks but it still had a whine after
Guest Budz86
Yes Chris, it's a dog box so a bit OTT for the street!
liamc111
I'm sure I read that you can get the ppg gearset as helical gears as well as straight cut
Chris Wilson
According to their web site you can, now made to special order, contact for pricing. Uses their own billet centre bearing support housing. Looks expensive... I just love my Tracktive in my R33 GTS-t, so small, so light and service and spares that are second to none. Drop gears to change the effective diff ratio that can be changed in 20 minutes. Just try getting Quaife spares for a low volume gearbox of theirs...
