Chase
About to connect up the 4 abs wires. I've noticed the shielding on the abs wires from the RL unit has been twisted together and had solder added at the end. Also where these wires go into the RL main unit, there is a fifth wire, I assume this is the other end of the twisted together shielding. With me so far...Just want to know if this shielding needs to be connected to anything. Does it need to be connected to gnd or something??? Don't want to put my dash together to have to pull it all out again... Cheers

THOR Racing
Shielding should normally be grounded at one end only. Not sure but the cable may be grounded at the control unit end. But... I've seen them grounded before on other installations so I'd say the best thing is to attach the shield to a chassis earth point. Chase
FFS !! I've just put the dash back together aarrgghhh!!! Looking at the wiring though, there are defo 5 wires going into the RL unit, the 4 ABS + 1 shield. I'm gonna leave it and see what happens. Right then gonna get with laying on my back and cutting through injector wires. Thanks Pete
Willson
I didn't attach the shielding to anything and it works fine.
