Chris Wilson
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4277136/PC-brigade-declare-end-mankind.html Here are a selection of offensive words/phrases and their approved alternatives Best man for the job = Best person for the job Waitress = server Fireman = firefighter Housewife = consumer Mankind = humanity Christian name = forename Homosexual = same-sex Polio victim = Polio survivor Sportsmanship = fairness Workmanlike = efficient. This is what's usually heard around Whitchurch: Best man for the job = Cheapest Waitress = Wench Fireman = Union activist Housewife = Bint, MILF Mankind = Chinglish phrase when tipped Christian name = Farmer Joe Homosexual = Brown hatter Polio victim = Lived next door to unscreened immigrants Sportsmanship = Equality in the use of stimulants Workmanlike = Shoddy Is it any wonder some people (who, me....? ) go out of their way to upset these nutters? Getting kids used to inequality at school and university prepares them for the workplace and marriage under UK law https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/used/smile.gif On a more serious note the over protectionism that is proffered at UK universities, and the lack of subjecting the students to disappointed, losing, divisiveness, and all that goes on in the "real" world is probably the reason so many are devoting hours and hours of their lives blathering on about their self diagnosed trauma post the UK EU exit vote and the appointment of Trump as the president of the United States of America. If they'd had a good and deserved beating or two at school, and a regular tongue lashing from a vitriolic form master with no pretensions of PC, and with goodly helping of good old British snobbishness thrown in, they might not be so maladjusted to defeat. el_bandido
I had to fight this shit at university; to some extent I still do in working life. It's utterly ridiculous, it irritates me that people thing being offended gives them some kind of status or rights. University is about opening your mind, not closing it and accepting censorship. These people are in for a huge shock when they hit the real world.

I found out 18 years ago that the best way to experience disappointment, losing and divisiveness was to be a young sailor in the Navy when out on the pull on a Thursday night in Portsmouth

Shane
Its nothing new though, about 20 years ago I was doing some work for Oxfam and they were terrible even back then. Had to sit through a whole load of crap about gender sensitivity and then was almost tested on it as part of the selection procedure. Lentil eating lettuce lickers in sandals, the lot of them

Al Massey
I was too thick to go to university so I don't need to worry I joined the army and we didn't have PC bul**it back then. Now it's a nightmare but I'm glad I'm out. I'd happily shoot PC nutters all day
