Dnk
How much does one weigh ? I'm guessing a bit lighter than a TT
Al Massey
What is the weight difference between an NA and TT? Are you after the difference between an NA Aero and a TT Aero.
Dnk
No i don't want the difference, I just need the weight of an NA aerotop, with say an empty fuel tank. I have a local guy who i use for my recoveries but he needs to know the cars weight as its a bit close on what he can carry legally,
j_jza80
Have a look on the US forum, they're the only English speaking market which for the n.a. aerotop so is likely the best source

Chriss
Does the MOT not weigh your cars in your country? If they do then maybe the documentation has the weight.
Scott-tt
According to wikipedia 1510kg but it doesnt say if thus is for a hardtop or aerotop. I'd imagine an aerotop would be a little heavier so if he's got a 3.5 ton transit recovery truck he only has under 2 ton left for the truck weight fuel and his weight so he'd defineatly be over. IIRC mk5 trucks are usually about 2.2 ton empty hope this helps

Dnk
The only figure ive found is for a UK spec 6 speed at 1549 kg I think he can put up to 1400 kg on his truck
Hammer
Got this at home (not a lot of help, I know) but I think mine weighed in at just over the 1500kg mark, if that's any help. I can check later but won't be home 'till late this afternoon.

Hammer
1506kg mine weighed in at but I don't know how much fuel it had in. At a guess, pretty much half a tank as that's how much I try to keep in it most of the time. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info Half a tank would be around 30kg but i'll stick with it being over 1500kg to avoid any dramas if he were to get weighed
