KamaSupra
Hey, Looking for anyone here that works for Sky or has a Sky Q Multi-screen package. I'm kind of confused looking online, so just want a question answered. Once my Sky Q box is fitted in the living room, then a Multi-screen box is put into my bedroom. For the Multi-screen box to work, will it work wirelessly or does it need to be hardwired into the box in the living room or satellite? Cheers- Dave
kitch79
Wireless, I've got 2 mini boxes, one in bedroom one in conservatory. The guy from sky sets them up, reads the signal strength at each, if required he will install a booster. Mine were fine. I like it, although movie/programme download speed is p poor. Just to add, if you have a non sky channel, E.G. BT sports, box nation, at the races... this WON'T be on your mini box!! I had to learn the from experience. Tried to watch a recorded UFC in bedroom, said I didn't have a subscription. After a Google and 45 min call to BT, it cost me £6 extra a month to have it sent to my mini boxes too. Nice one thank you I had to check as I have a large wardrobe going along my bedroom wall, so I didn't know if I'd need to completely empty and move it. As I thought the engineer might need to drill a hole through my wall to run a cable to the satellite outside or a cable to my living room lol. I take it that it just plugs into the bedroom TV and then wirelessly connects to the main Sky Q box or broadband router downstairs then? kitch79
Yeh. Plug and HDMI lead is all that is needed. It creates a network. So apparently is quicker.
