Mk4Gaz
Two of the most critical parts of the install. homers car was great, but cannot be compared favourably (performance wise) to something using much newer turbo technology, management, traction control etc. Yes, but a turbo and ecu choice don't add £10k do they! j_jza80
£22k minimum. I don't get why people are trying to devalue the car, I challenge anyone try and import one for less that is single turbo It needs mapping, has damage, and isn't using a branded manifold. Great car, but it cannot be priced at the top end of the market currently with these issues.
mplavery
Didn't a TT6 recently sold for under 15k on here ????
j_jza80
Didn't a TT6 recently sold for under 15k on here ???? Yup but not because it was strugstruggling to sell. The owner underpriced it for a quick sale, but he could have added 2k to the price and it would have sold just as quickly. He chose to ignore people's advice, but his loss was someone else's gain
Frank Bullitt
Didn't a TT6 recently sold for under 15k on here ???? I believe it was also because he was more concerned with the car going to a true enthusiast rather than someone looking to make a quick buck. JasonR24
I believe it was also because he was more concerned with the car going to a true enthusiast rather than someone looking to make a quick buck. That makes no sense. Selling it cheap is way more likely to be sold on for a quick buck

Great car, but it cannot be priced at the top end of the market currently with these issues. Fair enough on the mapping front I think that's something to be sorted before a sale but the damage is a bit harsh. The fabric under the bonnet is nothing and neither are the age related marks really so mid market for a single is fair hence the £22k mark. j_jza80
I was referring to the dent personally if I was Jack I'd just remove tge bonnet insulation and and give the underside of the bonnet a hefty clean. Won't cost him anything other than a few hours graft and will look better
Frank Bullitt
That makes no sense. Selling it cheap is way more likely to be sold on for a quick buck The seller wanted the car to go to an enthusiast. The seller wasn't looking to make a quick buck (which he could have done) with the current price increases. Sorry, I should have been more clear
JackyBoi
Thanks for the input guys, some very useful information. I think I'll get the map sorted first along with the few other little things, then see if I can bring myself to post for sale adds!
Chris Bailey
Thanks for the input guys, some very useful information. I think I'll get the map sorted first along with the few other little things, then see if I can bring myself to post for sale adds! I'll have a bet that once its fully mapped and you've got it how you want it you won't sell!
Sheefa
I would pitch around the £19k-20k mark in current guise. Proper mapping and sorting any niggles will be around £1k and perhaps install a more reputable, branded manifold too. Get those bits sorted then relist with a healthier, more representative price tag
T2 MSW
Similar spec to mine, I had a few extra things and I had zero bites at £23k. I got offered £15k from a forum member which was the PM that made me break it Best of luck with the sale
