brassbones
Anyone else on a forum for their daily? I've joined bimmerforums and its like tumble weed whenever I post. It surely can't be down to lack of participation! Maybe its a massive anti-newbie clique? Or maybe they are all too busy producing their documents at the local nick and working out how to use their indicators!!!!

But saying that this forum has gone quiet compared to how it used to be... Agree with this. It's almost quite sad how quiet it is these days. I recall joining and there being so many new threads I couldn't keep up with them. This is no longer the case as the membership reduces along with the number of cars. mwilkinson
I know what you mean. Can go all day without getting on, check new posts and there not be many Yeah. Even the type of threads has changed. They feel less technical and there are loads of non supra related ones. I feel there are fewer members, but that they spend more on this cars, compared to many members spending less. I also think as the car has aged owners are perusing restoration over modification which changes the types of threads quite drastically. Lots of people looking for parts! j_jza80
Yep, I've spent a small fortune on restoration parts, even when there was nothing really wrong with the previous bits, and most people wouldn't know. Brand new lights all round, new scuttle, paintwork, UK rear bumper, new facelift bumper bar, US spec bumper repeaters etc. It soon adds up, and used parts are getting harder to come by. I suppose there's not much to say about a BMW though. Jamie had to put a 2JZ GTE engine in one to make it remotely worth discussing

Have the odd project thread here and there but that's about it. Maybe we are becoming an odd old type of bunch and don't like newbies so much.
