Airport car parking

Recommended Posts

So i was just looking at car parking for B'ham airport.

Official car park prices, if i book a space for 14 days starting next week, same entry and exit times car park 5 for example is £53.99 if i book it for my actual vacation date starting 5th Sept its £88.99

So booking in advance would appear to be a bad idea, or am i missing something like its kids school holidays so up

go the prices

I'd use a taxi but last time i booked one it didn't turn up, my flights the first one out so i can't afford

to be messing around at 4 am in the morning.

Taxi is around £20 each way for me but local comps are very hit or miss hence i'll drive myself there.

Obviously there are good meet & greets out there, i'm sure Jamesy's gang down at Gatwick are ok  :)

I have used Jamesy's JVP meet and greet parking the last 3 years. Price is not cheap but it's an impeccable service always on time and they take pictures of your car on pickup so no issues if car got damaged. Using them again this year.

Have you looked at hotels near the airport dunk, it was cheaper for us to stay the night at a hotel near Heathrow and leave the car in their secure car park for a week than park it in one of heathrows carparks by about a tenner plus they do a free shuttle bus to the airport !! So for £10 less we got a place to sleep, breakfast and a bus to the airport !! Figure that one out

I live 15 miles from the airport Mike so don't really want to be getting a hotel but good advice for anyone

coming from much further away.

I've had a look and most hotels use the Airparks set up and its more hassle as you still have to

drive to another car park.

The Manor Hotel in Meriden does a cracking deal though and if i was having to travel further i'd definitely look at

stopping there, £120 and your car stays at the hotel, inc in the price is the too and from taxi transfer, shame breakfast starts 20 mins

after my flight takes off though.

Got to be careful with some of these companies do you know where they are parking your car, reminds me of the below last year parking company got caught out cars left in field most of them with the keys in them !

Exactly. There are so many un-approved operators who don't need to meet the regulations in place to operate an approved service.

We tweeted about a similar story this morning:
