j_jza80
NA brakes should cope okay with the sort of use that car is getting, but no doubt it has uprated discs, pads and lines. It will only be used in anger in a straight line, and won't do many consecutive stops.
Mike2JZ
That supra is only to show off with. Driveability looks terrible, let alone the choice of brakes. I highly doubt that car sees any real use

NA brakes are fine, only need to upgrade if you are doing track outings of spirited B-Road driving where you are constantly on the brakes and risk over heating, power output has nothing to do with what brakes are needed, it's all down to what you do with them. Style
I'd imagine most Supras with big rear wheels like that run J-Specs I follow the dude on IG actually and he's long sold that one. Now has a near unmodified, low mileage USDM TT6

Parry_10
You cant fit big brakes with 15 inch rears. Luc runs j spec, i have got j spec on mine too. Loads of 1000+ cars use them. Its only the rears not the fronts.

nolizma
Are the na brakes different to jspec TT?
Frank Bullitt
Are the na brakes different to jspec TT? There are two types of callipers, smaller OEM and larger OEM. I believe the latter of the two were a standard option on the j-spec RZ and UK-spec cars but optional on the other models.
Parry_10
The car in the video has jspec front and rear Not sure why you would use j spec fronts then. Most use the uk fronts
alibabba
This car used to run 15 inch wheels all around. It was John Pratkanis 8 second supra. http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm175/Jpolo975/IMG_1593.jpg?t=1222378566
j_jza80
Not sure why you would use j spec fronts then. Most use the uk fronts Probably for running skinny fronts on the drag strip of guess. But also the car might hace started life as an n.a., and they never bothered to upgrade them.
Luxluc
I run my Stoptech 355mm front and j-spec at the rear .... but only for my races at the airport. For the road, I install my Stoptech to the rear. The j-spec at the rear are not good for fast road usage. I nevertheless don't drive with my 15" on the road. Interesting Do you have quick release fittings on your brake lines?
