gazzi123
Hi all After some advice ....I've been after a decent MK1 aristo since selling mine A few years ago and regretted it , since then searching the UK and Japan non tick the boxes or if they do they are from Japanese dealerships wanting huge amounts for them. I've possibly got the chance to get hold of a MK1 gs3000 in decent shape but very high mileage, wanting to get a donor engine 2jzgte which is readily availible with turbos, manifold, Ecu, loom and mounts etc. What would need to be done to get this fully functional in a gs300? Or if someone is experienced to do it for me what sort of cost if I supplied engine with turbos etc, to pull out old one and get GTE in and running as it should? Thanks

Swampy442
I say you should just stump up the cash for an Aristo personally, they're worth as much as a Supra in my eyes anyway lol. You're not the guy on Driftworks seeking the Holy Grail car are you? A Supra engine will drop right in once you've swapped the sump, the issue comes with the wiring/ECU. You'd ideally need a working Aristo ECU to control the ABS (its a self contained ABS/traction control unit), plus the Aristo air con is a totally different set up using a hydraulic fan driven by a pump thats part of the water pump. You could just delete that of course. Cosmetically Ive got racks of Aristo bits, 3 piece spoilers, 1 piece lights, rear garnish etc *PS Jurgen said previously you can get a Mk1 landed for 6k apparently*

Probably is me mate, been on nearly every forum trying to track down a decent preferably black aristo....yeah I know aristos are now catching right up with supras (used to be super cheap compared to supras few years back). I'll try contact jurgen see what he says. Cheers bud - - - Updated - - - Cheers bud
Swampy442
The problem is everyone plundered them for their engines, now theres nothing left so of course, prices rise. Ive said before Ive only ever seen 1 black Aristo, they're pretty rare. I spoke to Kieron when he was in Japan, theres apparently a few about and about 6k landed. Whenever I search Goo cars I can only ever find a couple of TT ones. Plenty of non turbos but very few turbo's.

Yep same bud, never find one, if they are TT they are either white with high miles or ones with extremely low miles costing £10k without import etc. Yep my old MK1 was black, bpu etc...should have kept it as looks like it would of been worth a fortune now Ah well the search must go on I have thought about getting NA + doing turbo conversion but still talking 4K for car and 3k for a decent turbo set up. Worth checking out his site and giving him an ask if you're after importing one Very nice mate, but I'm more into the MK1, a lot of decent examples of the mk2 (yours is stunning) but MK1 is what I'm after and they are becoming super rare now, can't get hold of one unless paying near 10k. gazzi123
Putting things in perspective this one in Japan is spot on, few mods with low mileage ....£13-£13.5k imported....they are getting seriously exspensive the past year or so! Catching right up with the supras. Looks like might have to be a mk2 after all, giving it another month or so.....need another 2jz in my life lol Edited March 1, 2017 by gazzi123 (see edit history)
Guest Joshlake
If its a pristine mk1 you are after, this one comes up in Japan tomorrow morning its a pretty unheard of grade 4.5 and have previously went unsold, my guess the seller probably wants a good price but its not hard to see why. zaheer0027
Whoa so expensive! my 2000 mk2 v300 vertex landed south Africa cost me the equivalence of 3000pound in may 2016. The bodywork is in need of work but otherwise 100%.
