Notts_TT
Hi I know how hard 6 speed boxes are to come by nowadays but are Toyota still making them? If so how much are they from Mr Toyota Thanks Dan
j_jza80
Nope none of the boxes are available new now. When i contacted getrag a while back I was told that they no longer had the tooling to produce the boxes, so basically they will never be made again. The only option now is spending £4k on an used gearbox, and hoping it's been well treated. The parts are available to repair them now but that is very expensive ($700 per gear)

The last remaining stock was sent to a Toyota dealership in Telford, that's wha I was told anyway.
Frank Bullitt
If you were considering new, then put that money towards buying the best box available if you really must have a 6 speed. There must be boxes sat around collecting dust that have been well treated with low mileage and good service history just waiting for that special offer/desperate owner to come along. It will cost you more than the current market price but not as much as you were expecting to have to pay.

T2 MSW
They are well more than £4k for a good quality used one too!
Scooter
5 speeds still available ?? Strong R154's are I 'think' possibly close to 3k though and I think you'll need a bell housing and maybe other bits on top... Still a daft price anyway lol
