samdale
In the fine words of my Scottish friends "...can git tae f**k!" She's just blown a pallet across my drive and chipped/dented the front wing on the supra. Not impressed! Keep your old girls safe if they're not garaged. Worth sticking your heads out of the door and just checking what's around. This pallet was used to deliver plasterboard so is 8x4.
Tricky-Ricky
Yeah I'm in Norfolk, and i am just watching my fences flexing horribly, just hoping the wind dies before the fences do.
BoGlE
Yep last time we had some serious wind my gate blew open and put a huge dent in my front wing. Today it's parked with it's boot to the gate and I'm just glad I had something in the way because it tried to blow open again. Keep'em safe

Glanza_Mike
Pretty insane the winds we are having today, the Mrs rang about an hour ago to tell me a 29 year old woman has been killed just outside her work after a piece of wood flew off the top off a house and hit her. k222bye
It is absolutley insane these winds. My car cover is flying off even with hooks. I was going to say I really hope nobody is killed by these winds but sadly it looks like it has already happened

mc92
The tree in the back garden has fallen over and taken a fence panel with it so I will be having some fun with the saw tonight I suppose. I saw a few downed trees in town too and on the railway.

samdale
Why? Even a good fitting cover will flap in the wind. This can wear and damage the paintwork over time

Aaronmk4
I've had the next door neighbours recycling box through my supras windscreen and smashed the scuttle panel, anyone want to shoot me and get it over with?
Glanza_Mike
A few well respected detailers came on and commented in a thread about car covers, both agreed it's better to not use them.

Wonga Spar
Urgh... just got back from a 400 mile round-trip mostly through A-roads littered with branches/twigs. Swear there's about 12 new rattles since I left this morning.

MattP
Why? because they are shit I fell victim to them on my old Mr2s they just rub and scratch the paint so in the sunlight it looks a mess thus giving me more paint scratch removal work to do. No cover is better- A heated Garage is better still
samdale
No cover is better- A heated Garage is better still Annoyingly my car should be in the garage. However I first need to build a shed that can house all the crap currently in the garage. This storm is my excuse for not cracking on with, or even starting hindering my progress in shed building

No cover is better- A heated Garage is better still Interesting, I thought a cover would of been better in general I understand a good wax or polish can protect the paint against UV and water damage but I would of thought all that water and dust sitting on the car and staying in the run off channels and all around the wheels/brake components would be more detrimental, as well as bird poop.. a cover protects all the above I'm buying a new house at the moment that has a garage and that will be the Supra's need home soon but she lives under a car cover at the moment
