ripped_fear
Hi guys. So going back a few years now a very special car from the family was sold when my god father sadly passed away, and when this was done the personal registration plate was removed. I'm trying to find the car now just out of interest and see where it ended up. Obviously I don't know the cars new registration plate, and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to find out its new plate? The car in question was a classic Aston martin DBS in a custom dark green, black interior V8 auto. Last I heard it was for sale in Devon but I'm struggling to find the old link. Any help much appreciated Thanks Jake
Richie_k83
You can fill out a form with the DVLA to find out the current keepers details. You have to pay a small fee, but have to give a reason as to why you want the info... Pretty sure you would need a reg number though. mc92
If you know who it was sold to you might be able to ask them if they know anything. I think DVLA looks like the best option too if you can get them to give you the info. I'm looking on and off for my grandfather's old car too so I'll follow this thread. Also im not sure if on paper I have a just enough reason to request the information. If you know who it was sold to you might be able to ask them if they know anything. Unfortunately all his car collection was sent to a specialist who purchased them together and sold them on afterwards. I cant for the life of me remember the name of the company and the family member who took control of that part of his estate I know long have contact with. I know there is an old advert online somewhere but a few years have since passed and im struggling to find it. Good luck on your search too mate
Richie_k83
All you can do is try with the old plate i guess. All they can do is say no.
j_jza80
Sign up to a suitable Aston forum, production numbers of the DBS were low, so it's likely there will be a register, and/or someone may know the owner.

This what I was going to suggest can't be many left.

tintinmt
If you have history for the car and photos of it from the past I'm sure the current owner would be interested.
