RedM
I really can't see why the Supra has rear seats. I'm too tall for anyone to be able to get in behind me so there is only one semi usable seat. We mostly put shopping in the back and this got me thinking about removing the rear seats and putting some kind of locking storage boxes in. Also, create some kind of folding section to replace the rear seat backs that could fold down flat onto the storage boxes and give that slightly longer boot area. Anyone done something like this? Pete
How about a fish tank? Don't think anyone's done that before.

The rear seats do this already don't they? Good idea with the storage boxes!
letmeshowyou
How about a fish tank? Don't think anyone's done that before. They actually did do this on Pimp my ride - not on a soop tho!
RedM
The rear seats do this already don't they? Yeah, but you wouldn't need seat backs without the arse bit. It'd look odd. So, I'd swap them for something lighter. How much does the rear seat gubbins weigh? Anyone know?
toyotasuprauk
Not a great deal, maybe shave 0.0001 seconds from your quarter mile time.
RedM
I was thinking more long term with the thought that carruying less weight might give better mpg.

MONKEYmark
Not a great deal, maybe shave 0.0001 seconds from your quarter mile time.every little helps,i have taken my rear seats out.stripping weight supposed to make it better for acceleration. not just a 1/4 thing but good for track cars.you sure can tell performance difference when you have 2 people in back of supra.having less weight has to help. BTW i have had 5 people in my supra was funny as hell
Bob
I'm ripping out the back seats for my up-and-coming install - thinking of putting some kind of small storage area in for general shopping, just to keep the missus from oaning too much
edd_t
hmmm and thinking a NOS bottle and bass cannon would probably fill the rear seat area quite nicely! lol...
