Side skirts & spats fitting etc

So my OEM skirts and spats have had a few to many arguments with speed bumps and trolley jacks. I can get replacements on fleabay for around £220.

Question: a quote off a spray shop here in Widnes to spray the new ones and swap out the old ones at £550 all in. Is it me or is that a tad on the steep side?

Take the old ones off yourself but be prepared to pay the bodyshop to make the new replicas (assuming they are replicas) fit. It's not an easy process and very time consuming unless you are starting off with extremely well made parts.

If you are using Grams expect poor fitment as 90% of their stuff seems to need work, some of it major.

I just had my oem skirts painted, and it was £300. Painter said with the amount of prep work he charged next to nothing for the labour. I fitted them myself as well, so £550 for skirts and spats all in, whilst still expensive is probably about right.

It's probably not a bad price bud, I get a mate's rate of about £130 a panel for bits I need painted - if it's not mate's rates it would easily be in the region of £200. So, on that basis it could be about £400 for painting the skirts and spats, so £150 for fitting (especially if they require work) isn't mad money
