peter richards
just done a google and the prices are better than in store , but its a new service , so will be intersting to see how it goes , but it does away with line rental charges , so could be a good saving over the year. ben_harmer32
I was thinking about going with them as well. Maybe a stupid question but, does it still work through a phone line or use there 4g network?
peter richards
phone line , but without the rental charge , i might bive bt a call and ask them how some other company can use theyre line and not charge the rental , see what they say

Style
Just start bouncing them off one another and the rates may drop even further. I wanted to leave Virgin as my TiVo box was costing me a fortune and I was getting offers to drop the price considerably if I stayed
peter richards
ill have a look, the router they sent was useless had to send it back and put the old one back in , but ive only just redone a new contract , so chances are im stuffed for a while
Annabella
phone line , but without the rental charge , i might bive bt a call and ask them how some other company can use theyre line and not charge the rental , see what they say They build in the line rental into the price now, the initial discount is to get you in then the price goes up after your 12 or 18 month contract runs out. Like on virgin, they offer just fibre without a landline and it's dearer than a bundle with a landline! Oh and like most providers these days they'll put the price up during your contract in small increments like £2.50 citing improving network speed, and allow you to exit your contract within 30 days of the price hike if you wish. The Voda deal you pay £49 upfront for installation, and £6.99 router delivery. That's three months line rental (ish). Apparently they then sting you if you use your landline for call making, have aread of the reviews. If you don't make calls via it then that doesn't enter the equation. https://www.cable.co.uk/guides/is-vodafone-connect-broadband-any-good/ http://www.broadband.co.uk/mobile-broadband/providers/vodafone-mobile/reviews/ https://www.uswitch.com/broadband/news/2016/08/vodafone_scraps_home_broadband_line_rental_charges_faq/
Al Massey
ill have a look, the router they sent was useless had to send it back and put the old one back in , but ive only just redone a new contract , so chances are im stuffed for a while Easiest way to get out of a BT contract is to upgrade the package. The initial contract is cancelled and a new one isn't started. I have done that a few times before.

Al Massey
That's good to know about the landline. We haven't used our landline once since we moved in, no point with mobile phones these days
