Mathew2068
Cleaning up the engine bay a bit today and noticed a hose that wasn't connected? It doesn't look like there is anything for it to connect up to in that area. It's all pre bent and looks like it goes to a very specific spot...but there isn't anything there? Any help would be appreciated! 1993 NA Manual Edited February 4, 2017 by Mathew2068 (see edit history)
HELLBOY666
Isn't that from the canister it looks like a vent pipe
Mathew2068
It comes out from the firewall and then ends there. What's the canister for? Been searching online but I don't know what it goes too or from so it's pretty impossible to find any answers :/
Andy Blyth
It looks like it's the air conditioning evaporator drain hose. It's normal to be like that - it's there to drain the condensation away.
HELLBOY666
Ahhhhh yeah that sounds more like it for the air con and the canister is a fuel gas evaporation thing....lol I'm not sure exactly haha [emoji2] [emoji2]

Mathew2068
Thanks for the insight guys! Makes sense as there needs to be a drain hose somewhere, my wife's CRV wee's everywhere in the summer. I only asked because my first cat sensor was hanging out by the plug end! Popped her back in and all was well. Just didn't know if this needed the same treatment! It's a big ol engine with lots of hoses and stuff all over the place. Thanks for putting my mind at ease!
