Gretie22
Hi all thought there might be someone here with a bit of knowledge who might be able to help me. Right I have a piece of shit daily Nissan Almera n16 2.2 dci, recently it's been making a bit of a weird noise which I Googled and decided that it was probably the diff, any way as the car is soo shit and not worth anything, it's not worth doing major repairs, so I got a mechanic out just to change the gearbox oil to see if it would help at all or maybe even prolong the life of the car a little. But since the oil change I've been having problems changing gear (once warm), half the time it won't engage without grinding :/ before the change it was fine. Any ideas why this is happening since the oil change?
evinX
Did he change the strainer? Use the correct fluid and use correct amount? If not. With those symptoms is probably toasted the inners.
Gretie22
Not sure what a strainer is yes he used the correct fluid and amount I believe. Maybe it's just time for a new runabout.
