wezz313
C looks like the best option. I need one of these conversion kits for my Supra, my buttons are dark, the previous owner wired in some blue lights to shine onto them but it's so ricey. CarlM
B is what i have: http://www.carbonangel.co.uk/imagedump/suprabuild/dashnew.JPG http://www.carbonangel.co.uk/imagedump/suprabuild/heaterclose.JPG That's perfect Where did you get it done Ric? Edit: Dials look nice too Edited February 4, 2017 by CarlM (see edit history)
rider
A is more stock so guess which floats my boat. If you are doing LED panel lights and struggling to decide colours you really should go for variable mood LED lighting in the foot well then you can change it whenever you feel the need to. http://www.instructables.com/id/Car-Interior-LED-Lighting-Multicolor/

Kendo11
C mate definitely. A is a bit plain, B is a bit busy. C would be the best.

ripped_fear
Cheers for all the opinions seems to be a definite divide between a and b mostly. Still not sure on the route to go lol. To everyone asking who's doing it, I have a mate down this way I have asked and he's offered to help. However heckler will be able to help anyone on here I'm sure. Burna
Has anyone got any photos of how these are installed? As the only I've see is a right hack job with standard LED's and resistors. Not something I'd be happy with knowing it's a bodge behind the dash.
Burna
On a serious note using LEDS why not go with a multicolour ones. Then you can change the colour when ever you want that's what I would be doing with some trickery That's exactly what I was thinking, just done something very similar with something here. I think I need to have a closer look at the back of a heater control and see what's possible

rider
I'd imagine the big issue here is if LED your a/c controls you'd need to LED the entire interior otherwise it'll be like a bright beacon in the cab. I've only done LED on instruments where the old 2.2W bulbs are like candles at a thousand paces. You did say you prefer the stock carbon fibre look so whichever you choose I'm sure plenty will love it and no one is going to hate it which is the main issue with mods. Why alienate some of your prospective market were it ever come to time to sell?

Been awhile since I've been on his website, perhaps he's updated it to a newer method.
Burna
This is example of someone's gash handy work. This came out of a second hand jspec auto shifter that I've been playing with on my desk. That's the MANU button converted to blue LED.

Will grab a link when I'm home but it's done properly now with prototyping boards, resistors, leds etc

Why alienate some of your prospective market were it ever come to time to sell? My cars not stock anyway so originality of the leds is no concern. I have kept all replacements so if wanting to return it's easy enough. The full interior will be redone white too and in the old car they were no more offensive or brighter than the stock green, just looks alot more up to date
