Definatley will be when its on your door. He said a kit which will hold 1000rwhp. Go back and do your sums ;)

Also you will need a decent diff as well only the small case auto 3.7 ratio will give you any sort of decent drive. Which a 1000whp will obviously blow up. So add onto that 7k for a driveshaft shop 9" diff set up.

Also at that power the gearbox upgrades are advised. More money.

He didn't say you'd get a perfect set up.. He said you'd get a t56 conversion for less than 7k. Which you can, considerably. If you want the 1000lb/ft one yes, it's more.

The cheaper 700ft/lbs version is still 200ft/lbs more than the getrag can take.. And if a getrag can take 1000bhp then the lower priced t56 version can also.

T56/tremec is no good in a supra, there isn't a supra diff available with the correct ratios to work with it, so his comment isn't valid imo.

Joel Grannas would disagree!

This transmission's gearing is much different than the factory V160, therefore the rear gearing will be too high (3.13). You will need a 4.00 or taller gear to make this match the V160 gearing. You can also use the TT Automatic rear which would put you pretty close to the V160 gearing. More info on this page I created T56 Magnum vs V160.

I know what I'd drop my money into. Joel Grannas has done all the hard work. Yeah, the Getrag is a perfect fit but unless it's brand new you don't know if it will need a rebuild anyway, and then there's the fact some parts are unavailable. Diff would need some thinking on though..

seems to work well enough!

Really? He said a set up for 1000rwhp.

For the second time. Case closed.

Or if you want to carry on arguing an invalid point post on this thread a full t56 kit which includes diff as its a 'kit' which has suitable ratios for a supra and will stand upto 1000rwhp like he stated for 7000 euros or less.....

Didnt think so.

Also to state that the v160/v161 can take 1000hp so the t56 can as well because its rated 200ftlbs more is just plain stupid.
