WHAT ?

Baggy jeans and a red Sweat-Shirt ? ?

wot's that got to do wiv' the "price of Corned Beef" ? ?:conf:

ANYHOW, that rear "BOX" would deffo' hit the speed-bumps :p

[ BTW, all this exhaust business is partly down to you 'cos of the

noise yours made at Woodbridge ! ! !

made me feel all inferior-like ! !

THEN, blattin' about Wednesday night with Scoob's I really started

getting the urge for a proper rumbly-one ]

You're bl**dy lucky I saw this post.....I only logged on by chance as I was going to be off until Tuesday. You're better off mailing me direct if you are after something than post it here as I dont read all the threads anyway.

Anyway, I only have Dragers here as they are far more popular than Hipers and I would say we sell 10 Dragers to every Hiper. Absolutely nothing I have come accross sounds as nice as a Drager on a Soop IMO.

I will be here until 5pm and you are welcome to have a good nose around one if you want.

Cheers,

Nathan

get one bought and stop pussying around. mine used to be quite bad over speedbumps, it was the old blitz decat middle pipe, since had cw decats and it hardly ever scrapes. used to cringe driving over speed bumps before. now can drive over them ok. cw pipes must sit higher up than my old de cat pipe.

i normally go over them on drivers side wheel.if you can avoid areas with speed bumps.

Steve, have you had a look at the HKS Preist, its like a oval dragger, but is more noisy, as its S/S.

I thought I had a pic on my HD, will hunt around for one.

i get quite a bit of bottom-scraping so have to go over humps at an angle (which pisses of everyone else behind me cuz i go slow) and have been thinking of changing exhausts (my current one is big-bore but no discernable brand that i can see). have been leaning toward the nur but still unsure...may be time to get CW style raised pipework ?

I thought the River Road flyover went months ago...:p :p

Doh!

Yep, need to get that map changed. As you've probably guessed though, River Road is in the same place but the flyover has now turned into an underpass...

I think the HKS Priest is no longer available. Could check on Tuesday of you were really interested. More money though...

Right, I'm also thinking about changing the stock exhaust after owning my soop for two yrs!!

My UK spec is a true 'virgin' in the mods stake, I'd like to get rid of a cat but don't want to have to arse around at mot time so I take it I have the second one removed and exchanged with a replacement pipe?

Also, listening to the guys on here I'm tempted to go towards a Blitz Nur-spec, I asume I'd be going for 'cat back'?

So, reading what's gone before, the replacement pipe for the cat will help determine ground clearance? As I see it, the CW pipe is the best option?

Oh, one major point.........price, what sort of dosh for each, and what to expect for fitting.

Cheers Lads,

Cheers Steve,

so, you having one or both cats out?

I hadn't accounted for the de-cat pipe:conf: so these prices are slightly more than I was thinking.

Any 'deals' available or are you still deciding on the make?

I've got BOTH out !

NO, it wouldn't go thru' a legit' MOT test without 1 cat' ! !:confused:

I got the Mongoose De-cat to match the Mongie zorst that was

on it when I got it....

MUCH cheaper (~£170 does both at once !) but, can't put just

ONE cat back in:(

Jap' (as you've heard ?) can over-boost with both out - but

probably the Mongoose zorst is acting like CWs restrictor

ring ? ! - it's 'stifling' it just slightly - which isn't really a bad thing

when I change pipes I MUST get Guage or Controller fitted to

either SEE or CONTROL boost ! !:sly:

Your UK could run without either - NO OVERBOOST possible

however the MOT thing is your choice ? ? ? :conf:

FatS.

ps. Either Hiper = ~£500

......OR......NUR = ~£650

Hiper = MORE NOISE !

NUR = St/St !

Still checking 'em out:innocent:

Yeh, I sussed over the last few years that the UK can cope better with both out but I don't think I can be arsed with the hassle at MOT time.

If the de-cat pipes are in two parts then I guess that I still have the choice of removing the second at a later date?

One other thing, the NUR, does this have a removable baffle as I don't want full on noise but it would be nice sometimes :D

Oh, and I read earlier about the NUR being stainless throughout, seems a bit iffy not having the welds stainless on some other exhausts.

Paul

Yes the Nurspec does have the removable baffle, but it does need to be screwing in tightly, otherwise as Martin has found it becomes a missile launcher :D
