Downpipe/decat differences...?

Just make sure you make some form of brace, to help take the weight of the exhaust system, off the turbine housing.

All that weight hanging off a vband flange, doesn't fill me with much confidence.

I made a bracket to bolt the downpipe flange to my r154, to make it more rigid.

I can now undo my vband clamp, and the downpipe stays where it should

I made something similar that bolted to my old auto box, that I've recently removed

I thought all supras came with a brace bar (exhaust to gearbox) as standard anyway?

Mine had one, and i also had one included with the R154 kit i bought

Youre right though it certainly helps having one

Hmm, I definitely didn't have one, but then my car already had a 1st decat fitted to the stock twins setup, so maybe the stock one was binned :rlol:

I made the one above when I went r154, as it's a sensible addition.

Quite possibly then

Number 10 in this diagram is the stock brace

Not sure if TT originally had them, but i guess so as my R154 came from a 1jz chaser which had one too
