Sure there's a forum.member that was or has a company that build pc''s maybe able to help you out with smething. I have a fang book, great little laptop, do not get the slimline (the edge) ones though as the cooling isn't good enough. I needed a cooling pad while gaming as it got really hot because I got a slim one. I advised my brother to get the bigger one and it's brilliant as there's enough room for air flow https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/category/laptop

Saying that I'm rarely around nowadays.
MattP
It's sad as I'm more than competent at building PCs but it's still a bit of dirty concept trying to build a laptop.
JasonR24
It's sad as I'm more than competent at building PCs but it's still a bit of dirty concept trying to build a laptop. It's because getting the parts to build a laptop is so damn difficult. I tried and just getting parts was impossible. Your budget will get you a really decent gaming laptop as long as you don't buy from Ripoff terrible brands like Alienware

I too looked at building my own, getting a frame made etc but turned out it would have been as big as a normal desktop as I was going to.build it using desktop parts haha as like you've said getting laptop components is expensive as well as difficult. JasonR24
This is what you want https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GT80-2QE-Titan-SLI.html#hero-overview For that money you really should be getting a 1060 card. That's why I'd never buy from msi or Alienware or any companies like that
Flan
I have a 3XS one, P770zm Base. It's pretty good but I wouldn't recommend the desktop processor in it as it thermal throttles way too fast

I have a gaming a laptop and it's been just as good as any desktop I've had but the added benefit of being portal and doesn't take up a lot of space. I spent £1000 over 2 years ago and it's still playing new games on maximum settings, although I don't game that much anymore
TomWeight
I know alienware were trying to shift some of last seasons top end models for cheap to bring in their new line so might be worth a look. If not I know Razer laptops are starting to get serious so might be worth checking those out as well.
foggy147
I currently have an MSI stealth Pro with a gtx970m, fantastic laptop and will play almost anything on high/ultra at 1080. Is noisy though when the fans kick in due to the slim profile but it's a lovely laptop, very quick as it also has a 256gb ssd.

I've just updated my main machine for 2x 1080's in SLI.

supra_ufo
what are you running on them fuck all, he hasnt got time for games but likes wasting money LOL A lad from work has the MSI laptop, spent £2300 on it. Personally I would always go down the desktop route for gaming rigs, you get better bang for buck. Matt what you playing?
Ric
what are you running on them Battlefield 1, Crysis series, Fallout 4 (4k textures), titanfall2, metro series. It was built with the upcoming 4k 122hz monitors in mind, mind you. So i know it's a bit overkill for now.
MattP
Holy shit Ric that's a monster.... If I'm honest I just traded up my xbox one for an xbox one-s and a Samsung 65 curved 4k tv which I'm more than happy with. I do much prefer console gaming as Its easier to get into a game than start up a pc and muck about fine tuning bits. However I needed a new laptop so I got this to take advantage of the Xbox anywhere function I will more than likely get my hands on a Xbox Scorpio at the end of the year. Games wise I have most of the latest releases but battlefield one is not included in play anywhere and I wont be buying it twice.
