tbourner
Haven't driven the supe for a week since cleaning it on Sunday, yet it's still dirty today!! I'm guessing it's because of all the morning frosts we've had every day round here, both car's look lovely and dewy in the morning, but filthy once it evaporates! Oh well, get the bucket out again for the car that never moves!

Pete
All the crap in the atmosphere. Also heavy rain is good at flicking crap up onto your wheels and lower portion of the car.. of course there's always bird crap as well...and trees. edd_t
Sort of related, but have heard the the J-Spec's dont have something underneath them that protects the car from being eaten away by stuff like salt on the road during winter. is this correct? or just a load of rubbish (punn, sorry)... Yeah they don't have an underseal, cos the japs dont use salt on their roads. I got mine done when I bought the car. Cost around £80. Nic
Yeah they don't have an underseal, cos the japs dont use salt on their roads. Old wives tail Paul, Northern Japan gets some serious snow in the winter.
tbourner
They do need to be undersealed when they come into the country though. Mine was. Lucky it was as I live near the sea so have the most salty roads around!
edd_t
how do you know if it has been undersealed or not?
tbourner
There's lots of dark grey stuff on the bottom of the car, mine looks like goo that's dripping off - except it's actualy rock solid!

Ewen
Urban legend maybe, but Ive heard the Japanese use a 'synthetic' material for snow / ice that is far less corrosive than the good 'ol British rock salt
