Chris Wilson
Despite being favoured by despots, revolutionaries and mass murderers there's something majestic about a 600 Pullman that transgresses time. I'm surprised Donald Trump hasn't got one, frankly.

Chris Wilson
Indeed, plus some sharper clothes to do it justice, in my case!
liam1
wasn't there a good feature on old top gear with Jeremy's own one.
Chris Wilson
Not sure but a friend's company is restoring one and they are mega complex. I mean HYDRAULIC windows, seats and sunroof(s)?? Parts are extortionate and even basic issues like it won't fit on anything bar a commercial vehicle lift are sent to cause grief! http://blog.caranddriver.com/grosser-gravy-10-things-you-didn%E2%80%99t-know-about-the-mercedes-benz-600/
j_jza80
Presumably the result is that the hydraulic movements will be extremely quiet, especially if compared to the electrics of the time.

tooquicktostop
Fantastic looking cars, saying that many of the old Mercs are just stunning to look at now, the old SL is a thing of beauty
Chris Wilson
President Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya was very fond of them and had about 6 of them. Where did you find that photo? You need to send it to the Mercedes museum in Stuttgart
Rajinder
Chris this photo was taken by my friend who was a member of the presidential escort. The the president had gone to lake Bogoria which was a health resort but unfortunately got stuck in the mud. This photo became very famous in Kenya at that time because the theme in the photo was let's pull together. As you can see the president was calling out Harmbee a swahili word meaning let's work together. The Merc in the photo is not the Pullman model but he had two of them as well. Will send the photo to the museum .
