so last year I decided to take my UK spec car to SRD and after speaking with lee we came up with a plan, originally I was going down the big twins road but was swayed to go single as this would be a better option for my goals of 900bhp.

the work to be carried out is

Nice mate. If it was me spending that much money it makes no sense to use single valve springs. Use dual. Also id just pay the extra for a 5 inch ETS. And ditch the trd engine mounts. Nice build.

 

Dont need dual valve springs with those cams, no point adding weight to the valve train for no reason.

The weight difference wouldnt be noticeable. I was thinking for the future. If he wanted to go further just change the cams thats it. Instead of having to take the head off. But its not my car.

Its not just the weight, its the force it takes to open the stiffer spring.

 

Its just pointless running really stiff springs on cams that dont need them, they are only needed on 280 cams and even then not essential unless reving high.
