fullthrottle
so last year I decided to take my UK spec car to SRD and after speaking with lee we came up with a plan, originally I was going down the big twins road but was swayed to go single as this would be a better option for my goals of 900bhp. the work to be carried out is complete glass out respray suspension alignment subframes removed and overhauled SRD Stage 2 Built block Mahle 86.5mm Pistons BC Pro Rods SRD Brace Kit with ARP hardware New Core plugs New squirters or squitter delete All Machining Balancing Cleveite Bearings SRD Stage 4 Head BC stock size valves stock size valves Single valve springs Titanium retails BC locks BC Bronze Valve guides Port work All machine work SRD Stage 1 Cams H11 Head stud kit EGR Blank Plates Toyota Oil Pump Toyota Water pump Toyota Full gasket set Gates Timing belt Toyota Timing belt idler wheel SRD Billet tensioner bracket TRD Engine Mounts Stainless Bolts Toyota O ring for Oil filter housing Toyota Oil level sensor O ring Toyota Dip stick o ring Toyota manifold studs Toyota Manifold nuts RPS Triple plate carbon clutch Fitting Kit OS Giken 9" Diff Fitting Kit SRD Turbo kit with 6870 Turbo Custom 4" Exhaust System ETS 4" Intercooler Anodised Black SRD Oil cooler Kit Heater Matrix Fuel flex Mapping and dyno Misc. and fluids PHR Triple Pump Hanger Triple Walbro pumps Asnu 1500cc Injectors Fuel lines and fittings Twin Billet Filters Aeromotive FPR Kit Fuel pump Wiring Toucan Display Focal Rear speakers Sound Deadening Focal Front Speakers Alpine 4 channel amp Cabling Bumper Undertray Toyota seals and rubbers I am sure there will be a few things added to the list anyhow below are some pics from when the journey started. Parry_10
Nice mate. If it was me spending that much money it makes no sense to use single valve springs. Use dual. Also id just pay the extra for a 5 inch ETS. And ditch the trd engine mounts. Nice build.
EdMorris
That'll be a beast.

Parry_10
Dont need dual valve springs with those cams, no point adding weight to the valve train for no reason. The weight difference wouldnt be noticeable. I was thinking for the future. If he wanted to go further just change the cams thats it. Instead of having to take the head off. But its not my car. Instead of having to take the head off. But its not my car. Its not just the weight, its the force it takes to open the stiffer spring. Its just pointless running really stiff springs on cams that dont need them, they are only needed on 280 cams and even then not essential unless reving high.
