Swampy442
Its no surprise given previous form really. Theres been no reports of what the problems are, but they've completely redesigned the turbo architecture along with many other things. They're effectively 2 years behind the drag curve. Having worked at McLaren the logistics are staggering, everything is built in Japan, with people flying half way round the world and back to test fit bits, dyno run engines etc. Its a bit of a mess

Alex_GT
This sport is a complete mess at the moment. I only hope Brawn can drill some sense into these new people.

imi
A lot closer than i thought it would be, fingers crossed for a race tomorrow Looks like Merc have it in the bag for the 4th year in the row. Hoping to be proved wrong after the 1st handful of races. Very impressed with Bottas for his 1st Qualli with Merc - lets see if he can match or beat LH in a few races. Swampy442
I want a race at the end of the season, when nothing is secret, when drivers swap cars and you can find multiple world champions like Hamilton and Vettell in Haas and Renaults, and Lance Stroll in a Mercedes. F1 is easily weighted towards car performance more than driver ability, would be an interesting study
Alex_GT
Here's an interesting study: the 2 drivers on the grid who got their places through money, and money alone are 19th and 20th. Good to see that cash is translating into on track performance.
Dnk
Looks like it might not be a forgone conclusion then, eh imi

Dnk
If that is a taste of the rest of the season i think F1 is going to lose a shed load of fans/viewers
imi
Boring Track as always - good win for Ferrari and an impressive performance by Bottas. If this is representative of things to come then THIS will be the most competitive season of the V6 hybrid era (which doesn't say much about the racing of the past few years).
