JohnA
Does anyone here sell them, or do I have to visit again my friendly Toyota dealer for a 'special order'?
LeeT
either toyota or they are always offered on ebay.
Homer
You're best off just going to Toyota, its only about £20 for the full set anyway. You'll most likely need the screws too which are never supplied by any of the other (ebay) sellers. Don't forget to include the hacksaw blades/heat gun, plus the huge amount of swearing required to get the old ones off!
michael
I think Mr Lovatt has a stash?
Gordon F
Toyota are the best place. They are pretty cheap, so it's worth getting two complete sets while you are there, so you have a spare set for the future. (Good to do this with the breather hoses above the spark plugs as well!) Burna
I think Mr Lovatt has a stash? Beat me to it. A good tip when Liam did mine was to fit cap head screws so the next time you need to change them it is ALOT less hassle.

You might be lucky and find that loctite has not been used so they come out easily! The new replacement screws were slightly different than the original. Use a screwdriver without a worn head when you put it back together
JohnA
Mine are fecked, but the hatch doesn't rattle --- that's why I haven't changed them yet. I now suspect that they might be the reason my hatch hinge broke the other day. Scary, the last thing you expect is the hatch to break loose on the motorway... JohnA
£3.75 each from my mr t , dont pay £20 ffs Inchscape Toyota, via Steve Manley, the contact CJ said will give us good prices, want £23 + postage for the two rubber bits and the screws. Something's out of whack here
chilli
They are def only £3.75 or so from mr T, I purchased some recently. I nearly slipped up and paid the £20 from ebay! Goes to show, don't assume that just because it's on ebay it's cheaper than the dealers!
JohnA
who's talking about eBay? That's supposed to be a Toyota dealer doing better prices for members here.
monkey76364
Can you buy them online from Mr T or do you have to go there ???
CJ
who's talking about eBay? That's supposed to be a Toyota dealer doing better prices for members here. Have you been back to him and asked him to check what he has quoted you for? So far, you are the only one who seems to have not got a great price when contacting him. JohnA
Yes CJ, the two hatch rubber locks that fit on the chassis, and their screws. Do you think that he's playing silly boogers lately?
CJ
I just spoke to Steve to clarify what he quoted you on. There are two stopper things. One is on the tailgate, one is on the body. The tailgate ones are the ones that are the cheaper version at approximately £3.75. The bottom ones (which he quoted you for) are £5.95 each + £1.83 for the screws exc vat. He quoted you for 2 base things and 4 screws and wasn't charging for carriage.
JohnA
Quick response, CJ! So what we're saying here is that everyone talks about the *tailgate* bits, while I was quoted on the body bits (the ones that I am after) Can we just verify that the ones most people change are the *tailgate* bits? Because in my car those look like new, the chassis ones are perished Otherwise people here are comparing apples with oranges
peter richards
hi guys i didnt change the top ones , just the ones on the body in the water well £3.75 each

CJ
Peter, did they supply the screws for that too or did you us your old ones?
