Stage what next?

What do I need to think about to upgrade from my current bhp.

I have:-HKS Air, Hyper muff (first CAT in), had been running 1.1 bar and then cut / petes supplied me with a FCD which I trust dude will set at 1.2 bar for me. Apexi Boost G naturally...

Matt H has supplied me with six DENSO IK24's.

what next. There's more to fuelling I understand than a replacement pump, resistor pack etc - I don't pretend to understand that.

Boost Controller.. and cooler...

So the cost for the next stage and parts need please gents.

Thank you.

Mid

i have been thinking same thing. done a few of the small stuff like exhaust, de cats. trl fuel cut, cams and gears, would like to do something with fueling to be safe.

what sort of fuel mods and what does each one do

would anything be overkill on stock turbos

dont want hybrids or 550cc injectors

fuel pressure regulator

fuel damp bypass

fuel pumps (walbro)

whats the experts think could be done long term to maybe work towards a single turbo

it just never is fast enough

john i would nt want to go for 550`s as you would have to change again if you decide to go for a single turbo.

justin said you can get 680cc injectors that drop into stock fuel rail.

is it the case like the cc of the injectors are roughtly the sort of power they good for

ie: 550cc - 550bhp 720=720bhp that sort of thing

it would be good to do some small mods and work up to something like a single. even if its something like the budget turbo kit from america for $2,500

paying for small mods here and ther aint too bad

are hybrids really worth the money?

Hybrids seem like a good idea and prob give more top end BHP but there seems to be a loss of midrange power etc on the 1/4 times...so thats also going to notice on the road...IMO

One week I want big hybrids next Im worrying about ruining the drivability of my car....its an interesting subject

Me dad has a similar spec except his got a ARC fmic, with apexi safc, and 2nd de-cat,HKS SQV. Hes getting a bigger SARD fuel pump with HKS EVC5 and winding the boost up 1.25 bar.

The net result should be around the 400hp mark,Nana at option said he dynoed a car with same spec and it made 425hp, so by his books 400+, on this setup....well wait and see, hopefully will have the results next week!

Hope this helps Mid life!

just putting it back together now, sick of it been in bits. will get up and running then will sort out a 3600 TC and maybe some better gear ratios.

ps who says my turbos are going to blow

if they go a home made milling out and will fit some dyson turbo blades with the vortec core`s should be good for 600bhp per turbo

I heard how some cars react differently......:gallery:

i think the rule of thumb re the injectors is 1 bhp per cc, less about 10% for safety when talking about a good cond stock uk system, but i think that margine increases when you go Race pump adj reg etc the injectors can i believe be made to flow more than a stock system by upping the pressure to the rail and making sure the supply to the pump is conv. to 12v (more like 13+) so unless you are planing to go way over a genuine 500bhp i would say the uk inj sound fine , personally im gonna go hybrids and a bit of gas + hi stall converter and gearing change .This should run low 11's with some drag radials .
