Import Supra....UK Battery...?

Hi guys,

so I've just 'bought' Sheefas Halfords battery off him that he ran on his UK spec Supra. I didn't realise that UK and Japanese cars have different battery terminals. The ones on this battery are bigger than the ones on my cars wiring loom.

I'm presuming quite a few of you will have fitted a UK battery into an import Supra before? What's the best way to go about this? thanks,

Mike.

This is terrible for Sheets to do this to you.

Bad man.

😂

On a serious note when you mean bigger do you mean that the actual battery terminal connector slips over the new battery.

If so..

You can bend the battery connector on the wiring loom to make a more sung fit.

Or replace the connectors on the wiring loom side.

Or use washers as spacers on the bolt giving you the ability to make it more tighter

Thanks for the reply mate, but the opposite, the battery terminal connector on the loom is too small for the connector/lugs on the new UK battery.

Thats odd the Battery was from me Originally and Mine what J-Spec

Don't think it was Paul. I bought yours and a new one and think I sold yours to Jake (Ripped_Fear) but can't remember which way round. Both were practically new anyway.

Must be an easy fix.
