Yeah the 530d once mapped is absolutely brilliant - my old one used to get decent MPG too.

The whole "carbon black" colour though is weird no? its more like a deep blue most of the time isn't it?

This was my old one, may look at getting the 19" tigerclaw alloys again for this one, they sit nice with spacers....

Last week fitted the new black BMW badges front and rear and removed the chrome number plate surrounds ... also fitted some black front grills.

  • 1 month later...

Been busy with the car over the last 6 weeks, now has the following done;

Full service

New glow Plugs

Lowered 50mm all round on H&R suspension

DPF straight through removal pipe

Decat pipe

SRD Stage 1 remap

EGR Delete

Black front grills

De-chromed front and rear

Black BMW badges all round

Now running at a healthy 340 BHP and 510 ftlbs - absolute weapon!!

Pics coming soon, well happy with it though, performance and noise is staggering.

These are very nice cars and very tuneable. There are a couple in Finland running almost 500bhp with just upgraded the bigger turbo, intercooler and exhaust mods. Thinking about buying one my self.

340bhp remap is quite conservative. Most that are chipped here are 360-380hp and 700-800Nm torque.

Good performance increase and stuff. Wouldn't want my kids walking past your car though. ;)

Lovely car that[emoji1305]

Since I bought our first BMW about 3 or 4 years ago I've not had the supra on the road since, we've had two E90's and an F30 which is my daily. My wife has the 325 msport which is a great motor, both our cars return 45 mpg no matter how they are driven. I haven't test driven an Audi so can't comment on them but I probably wouldn't look past BMW when buying my next car.

I almost bought one but ended up with the 3.0tdi A5 instead I made a mistake... I love that shape 5 series but it was hard finding a nice spec black one at the time.

The 335d coupes that are now long gone were nice aswell.

The 3.0tdi In the Audi is rubbish for those of you wondering and the S-Tronic boxes are notchy garbage.

Buy BMW

Good figures that. Did you change over the exhaust ? I am really teed by the M-Performance exhaust on mine as retains warranty etc too but not sure how much of a difference it will make on a diesel. Is it the decat and DPF delete that has led to a better noise?

Hi mate, not full exhaust but instead of the big DPF muffler and the downpipe cat it now just has a straight through pipe up to the back box. you can remove the backbox too but I think it becomes quite "droney"

Very good figures there.

I am often think of getting one of these (the E61 estate), what sort of cost was the DPF bypass pipe, and the remap?

Hi mate yeah the estate is great too and so much space.

The DPF twin delete pipe is around £180. As per pic below.

This is the decat pipe, very well made....

The remap, if done properly not just a plug n play chip, is around £250-£300 depending if you get the EGR delete done too.

Yeah you can go to 400hp+ with the full exhaust and intercooler - but I want my autobox to last :D

Lol why's that? it doesn't shoot flames!! :)

Jamesy, did the service and other work you had done improve your mpg around town?

Yes mate. I had new glow plugs fitted along with a full service. Also had the DPF pipe removed from the middle section and fitted a decat to the downpipe.

With everything I'd say MPG gone up around 15% and performance through the roof
