Jamesy's Modified E60 535d @ 340 bhp / 510 ftlbs!!

Recommended Posts

Picked up another E60 just before xmas after a decent ownership a few years ago of the 530d. Sold the campervan to make way for this and so far very pleased!!

I managed to find a low mileage, carbon black 535d which is the 530d with twin turbo!! Standard is 272hp and more ft lbs than a TT Supra.

Has already been mapped to 320hp but will be decatting and DPF removed soon and then a proper SRD remap.

Also plans to change front grilles, number plate surrounds, plates, alloys, suspension, badges, and other stuff as we go along. will keep this updated for anyone that's interested.

These things are absolutely rapid and once mapped will keep up with an M5. Decent all rounder that im pleased to be behind the wheel of again.

As it is day 1:

Yeah mate I had a 530d before and had it remapped at SRD - was a brilliant car and decent MPG - much better than this 535d version!!

Haha I can imagine I drove a 535 back in the day when I worked at a garage, I was shocked at how well it went. Unfortunately it would be a bit to thirsty for me as a daily. The 525 or 530 will have to do. Just need to find a reasonably priced one which is well spec'd and good history.

Will be watching with interest

Nice car matey.

What tq figure do you expect after remap?

Hello mate, I will be getting a DPF removal pipe fitted along with the remap and EGR delete.

This is the removal pipe:

Expected figures based on other owners that have done the same and did a dyno print out were:

350bhp

522 ftlbs :D

Very nice buy, a mate has a 535 remapped and it is rapid (couldn't tell you the exact figures), he's also done 56,000 miles with the remap with no issues beyond normal service items which I was impressed with!

May swap the M5 in at that rate as mines been back to BMW a few times now (albeit all under warranty)

whats the mpg on these? and dont they do a estate version with the 3ltr TT lump?

Lovely looking car :) the only issue I have with these is the rear exhaust the M5 looks great but the rest dont do it for me.

I get 50mpg doing aggressive motorway speeds and i agree on the exhaust, would look better split either side on the car.

I get 44mpg on mine all day long with mixed spirited and solitary motorway cruising. Unbelievable for the performance

Blimey do you both have the 535d? That mpg is great mines currently 28mpg around town although did show 45mpg driving home from Cardiff

They said it was already remapped but im not sure so getting SRD on it. But im not impressed with mpg at the moment around town - it is due a service though being done any day.
