d-_-b
Hey guys, Question hopefully someone who knows looms & ecus can answer, Cars got a: GE motor Manual gearbox Auto loom with a manual GE ecu My question is will/should this setup of loom & ECU work? If it should, Is there anything else besides the auto park 'fix' (so the car doesn't think it's in park) that needs to be done / required etc..? Thank you for any help... Mike2JZ
I've started an Na supra auto using a manual ecu. Manual ecu can't do gearshifts though, otherwise it ran the engine no problem. So if you have a manual trans then it shouldn't be a problem

Read a bunch of different forums and some people were mentioning ecu repinning etc so thought I would ask on here to find out!
safcdixon
I reshelled my auto tt into a 6speed shell, the body looms are identical on all supras, dash looms and door looms differ by spec but the body loom is the same

safcdixon
Im not certain on that one mate, id expect so, iirc you can run an manual on a auto ecu but not the other way round

Josh42
You'll need to solder 4 wires on the gearbox loom extension. 2 for the inhibitor switch and 2 for your reverse lights IIRC

Josh42
b;4191233']Legend' date=' cheers Josh [emoji1360'] From memory (and please verify this by searching for the tech article), I'm sure it was a black wire and a black with red trace wire need to be joined to bypass the inhibitor switch to allow the car to start. I'm sure it's then the yellow wire and white wire from the gearbox reverse sensor need to be joined to the loom wires.
