Wez
Very nice Looks like there is also a hybrid version, I wonder if it will be congestion charge free, wasn't this a trick Lexus pulled with a previous model too
ibby
Please Toyota.. Put a JZ-gte engine in of some sort and not a BMW engine and kill the car. You will break my heart.
el_bandido
A Toyota equivalent of the v6 ecoboost would be nice for the new lineup.

I'm hoping they have a similar arrangement to what the gt86 got, BMW manufacture the basic engine, and Toyota design the head. That s the only way the next supra will get a straight 6. Nic
The rear looks hideous IMO, from this view it looks like 2 cars have been photochopped together badly. Not a fan of the styling, too fussy and overcomplicated for my tastes.

Havard
I like it styling wise, just need to look at 6 speed conversion. H.

Look at the Aston DB11, looks fussy and horrible compared to the simple and stunning DB7 and DB7 models.

bayside_supra
Four words.... Alfa Romeo Guilia Quadroqueefio, sub 4second 0-60 and Alfa say it's good for 30mpg+ (although knowing Alfa no one's actually measured they just looked at someone elses twin turbo V6 which gets 32mpg and they assume their 510BHP one will get that too...) If the new Supra has got less than 5cylinders I'm buying a Fiat 500XL and calling my interest in cars a day We have got one of these at work. It's a proper car, seriously quick and makes a good noise. Feels pretty light by modern car standards too. I really like the look of this Lexus, I think the RCF looks the business too, I saw one the other day in Tesco. Really eye catching saw it from a mile off. These auto boxes with too many gears are getting a bit boring though. I though 8 was enough in the Alfa. Why do Lexus think 10 is necessary? I cannot see that making it better to drive in anyway whatsoever. All to pass an irrelevant emissions test and quote mpg figures that are impossible to get in reality [emoji19]

Yamaha designed head would be cool, which is essentially a Toyota head as they own them
mwilkinson
Sorry for the thread resurrection. I had a chance to see the LC500 up close at Waterloo a week or so ago. I have to say I'm a fan. I think it looks lovely. It's proportions remind me more of a Supra than the BMW/ Toyota project car we've seen. The build quality and attention to detail on the design is quite exquisit. What concerns me is that Lexus / Toyota are unlikely to allow Toyota to have a better performing car than the LC500, being as it's their flagship performance car. This doesn't bode well for the new Supra. Whilst there will be an LC-F with around 600 bhp, that won't be for another year or so. So at best the Supra will perform as the LC500, or inevitably below this. I don't hold out much hope for the new Supra.
