Strange beeping when handbrake down - Video link.

Merry Christmas all!

I have this strange beeping that started on my Supra n/a Aero Auto yesterday. Only seems to come on when the handbrake is fully down. Turns off for a moment when I floor the gas, but then comes back on.

Video - https://sendvid.com/cf2ihev0 (I'm pulling the handbrake up and down in the video to demonstrate the sound going on and off)

I do have a toad alarm installed (previous owner). Could be something to do with this.

There are no warning lights staying illuminated.

Its coming from behind the clocks so before I start stripping it down and investigating the alarm system I thought perhaps I'm being stupid and there's an obvious reason???

Cheers!

That would be good, just annoys when stuff pops up, how machines get infected from sites that allow that.

Sure someone will know what that is. Sometimes brake fluid level can be just a tiny bit low and cause that, or read somewhere on here there's a cable that can work loose under the hb lever.

Example.

If you do advanced search for handbrake error there's a few results and some mention fault code diagnosis etc

Cable seems fine but good idea to check the fluids!

That beeping is not from a factory speaker/buzzer. Definitely aftermarket.

Not sure how toad alarms work, but probably a good idea to check that.

Also, when you pull the handbrake up you are missing the handbrake warning symbol on your dash cluster, only the main warning light appears. So maybe someone removed the bulb, or it is a clue to the problem you are having?

Ah! I didn't realise that. Ok I'm taking the cluster off tomorrow so hopefully I'll know more.

Cheers guys! :)
