What type of differential is this?

Hey guys.

I need help to find out what type of diff that is in my Supra. I've taken down the diff case to change the side seal, since it is leaking oil. Also i want to change the diff oil as a part of servicing the whole car before summer. But i want to know if it's just the OEM Torsen LSD or if it's an aftermarket diff, which may need a special sort of oil?

When the car was bought at the Japan auction, it was typed in the spec list, that it had an "aftermarket diff". So that's why i'm concerned if it is the OEM or really is any aftermarket? Cause i found out, that the "aftermarket clutch" it also should've had, is just an OEM Toyota clutch. So i wonder if the diff is also just the factory one?

The car is from factory with "B03B" differential. 8.7'' - 220mm, 3.267:1, B (Torsen LSD).

The current diff has these numbers on it (cannot find anything from them on Google):

- 0031-3601695

- 34-0530

Thanks in advance! :)

You have two types of Supra diffs. Small (A0xx) and Big case (B0xx)

Yours is a big case diff, and will be more resilient to some abuse compared to a small case diff.

You also have a low diff ratio that no small case diff can have.

Every manual facilft car 1996/5> have the 3.266 ratio. Doesent matter if it is the facelift with gte + v160 or gte vvti + v161. Diff code a03b.

The tt autos have 3.766. Diff code a02b
