So I have a problem that the car cuts out after 5 mins and won't re-fire ,cleaned out the ICV sensor and the throttle position sensor (marked it first ) .she started on the turn of the key and ran for 5mins then just stopped as if I turned it off ,took out a plug held it on the engine NO SPARK removed the dizzy cap cleaned all the contacts ,but the rotor looks like this (see pic ) I don't think this is right ? Can smell fuel coming from the open plug hole.also getting code 41 from the ecu ,I'm stuck guys any advice would be great thanks

Get a new rotor, I've never seen a rotor so worn. This is what it should look like new:

Error 41 is to do with your TPS. Are you sure you plugged it back in correctly, as that error suggests that either you haven't plugged it in or there is a deeper issue.

Thanks mike ordering a new rotor ,I had my alternator refurbed and then I had this problem ,it seems it runs until the engine reaches a certain temp and then cuts out and won't start again until the engine is cold ,I'm obviously getting spark and fuel otherwise it wouldn't run at all ,could the TPS have broke in some way ,maybe will try another one .can get a second hand one from keron .ive checked the wiring on the TPS and made sure it's plugged in .also when it's running the rev counter is flickering never done that before .

Check to see if u get a spark on the plug side.

Eg remove spark plug and coil wire.

Fuel pump ECU.

Crank with it touching head or metal.

You should see a spark.
