samdale
Car is a TT6 vvti so small case and V161. At slow speeds when I take my foot off the throttle I can feel/hear a bit of a clonk. Very faint, bit it's there and can be repeated. Not noticed it at any other time, just when the drive train goes from driving the rear wheel to being driven by them. Any ideas? Some kind of mount for gearbox/diff causing one or the other to rock a bit? Free play in drive/prop shaft joints? What is this most likely to be? samdale
Prop shaft rubber This puppy? Easy fix? Easy to test if that's the issue? I'm guessing a new one isn't cheap. If it's even available.
ibby
Yes thats the one. But you should be able yo see it on the ramp. I had the same issue on the is200.
Scooter
I would suspect a slightly worn flywheel, in my experience the 6 speeds all get a bit of 'lash' is it worse in 1st/2nd at low speeds? Also wouldn't rule out the engine mounts.

Also wouldn't rule out the engine mounts. It's definitely more noticeable at low speeds but that's probably due to engine noise masking it at higher speeds. I'll have to have a bit more of an experiment but I think I can make the noise by driving at speed and just pushing the clutch pedal down and wait for the drive-->driven effect IYSWIM? Is there any recommended ways to check/eliminate these? Flywheel is I think ~£500 plus labour
SupraLEDrears
This could also be a worn wishbone bush. Make sure to check them too when the car is on the ramp.
