Dnk
Fitted a HID kit to the E46 yesterday Quite happy with the end result, way better than before even with uprated bulbs I went for the Stealth kit from HIDS4U, all seems nicely made and with a 2 year warranty and no faults thrown up which a few other kits seem to suffer with 35w 5000k

Dnk
Thanks The bulbs were a right ball ache to change, the OE ones plug directly into the back of the bulb but the HID's are hard wired so the retaining clip has to be removed and refitted once the bulbs in place, this is seriously awkward to do in such a small space

DreamscapeGF
I've also got a stealth kit fitted - well worth the money, will also be fitting them to my other half's car
Nodalmighty
I was introduced to some Motorsport Spec CREE LED lights on Sunday. They were on a Celica Rally car so there were 8 of them. I think I have sun burn now. Seriously bright, much brighter than HID and only 1 amp primary with a holding current of about 500ma. All 8 were about the same current draw as one of the original H4 halogens. Technology moves on I guess. The only down side is a pair of H4's for the Transporter are about £130 with the can adjusters. These are the real deal though not ebay rubbish.
Jellybean
Philips LUXEON LED Headlights look nice too , 4000 Lumens per each bulb! 9006 HB4 , version! http://www.horizonleds.co.uk/5th-gen-4000-lumens/hb4-9006-5th-gen-4000-lumens
Dnk
Couldn't see any LED kits for the E46 so went for the HID's, drove home last night down the local lanes and way better than the uprated 130% nightbreaker bulbs. No problems dazzleing other drivers either The kit was £70 with free delivery which i think is well worth it
Jellybean
They look Great Simon , how is MOT with regard HID's there , Over here you need self leveling system and Headlight washers , even imports with HID's from factory are failing due to it Depends on the tester but a big discussion to fail mine last test , looking at LED's ; , I ordered some of the philps LEDs to try in the Golf , if any good will get some for the Supra in the new year
