Suprakeith
Hope I have this in right section, do apologise if wrong. But am currently doing engine build and will be buying engine stand this weekend and was wondering if anyone had used or heard of Hawk engine stands and if they fit the 2jz engine. It's rated to carry 680kg so can support the weight Here is link for the stand https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291052978936
Scooter
That looks pretty substantial and sturdy to me, years ago I had an engine on a T type stand and that required more care when moving as it was far less stable than the one in your link will be. I can't advise on the specific model of stand I would say though that the long bolts required to go through this and the bell housing aren't common (or at least I remember having trouble finding them!) natony
Pretty much the same as the one i have and I've had various engines on it including a 2jz with no problems.
Chris Wilson
Looks OK for the price, you need some high tensile threaded rod to make long bolts from with nuts and washers. Make sure it IS high tensile, the mild steel studding will be sweating...
and1c
Looks identical except in colour to the machine mart 680kg one which is nearly double the price. Good engine stands. I have one of those but use this one https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-ces340-340kg-engine-stand/ because it takes less space up and it means I can still get around the garage. Handles the 2jz without any issues.
Suprakeith
Cheers guys for the tips and does anyone know rough weight off the 2jz engine? And Chris will definitely being using high tensile bolts to support engine while on stand What size bolts do I need please? Just so can everything ready for when pull engine out Edited December 8, 2016 by Suprakeith (see edit history)
Chris Wilson
You will struggle to find the correct metric fine thread bolts in a long enough length to go through the tubes of the adapter arms of the engine stand, that's why I said by threaded rod in a 1 meter length and cut pieces to size. De burr the cut ends, screw them into the block and use nuts and washers on the other ends.

Sorry was meant to say length and thread as work in machine shop and have lots of different sizes threaded bar, so can make them at work
