Big Mark
Hoping to swap my seats to some Recaros I picked up and am wondering what people do regarding the seat belt buckle that is attached to the old seats, remove and reuse? Will they actually fit or is there an alternative?
evinX
Ive never had Recaros but i have seen them with the buckle, id imagine there would be a tapped hole to mount the oem one to. Got a picture of the seats?
Big Mark
No there's not. Seats came from another car where the seat belt buckle was mounted to subframe not the seat. Subframes are being binned and a set of universal runners and a low seat mount from Johnd-mkiv (hopefully) is the plan to fit them.
Big Mark
Just found the answer. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?249192-Low-Mount-Custom-seat-frames&p=4059263&viewfull=1#post4059263
bayside_supra
If you get a set of Bride seat rails, the original buckle bolts on to the rails. The rails themselves have a mount for it. If you aren't using Bride rails I'm not sure how these other ones would work.
