j_jza80
These are excellent kits, especially for that price.
Scooter
oh ta, nearly bought one the other week (not at £350 but certainly more than £135)
berg
Lets face it, its never been £350 lol, always around £175-£200 But thats a very good price, i have one myself brilliant quality tools
Scooter
When you consider the price of one ratchet, or ratchet spanner set it's a no brainer. Old man has a old MG so can use the old imperial stuff and my daily has odd 15mm and 18mm nuts and bolts that are often missing from lesser sets. Plus for me, whilst I have most of these tools already, I can be portable and hopefully keep everything in it's place better!
ashloys
Have had this kit for a long time, brilliant quality. Ratchet spanners are a must! lol
rider
I bought one of these 2 years ago in a Halfords sale for £99. 36% inflation over two years sounds a lot to me. Its a good kit apart from the torx set that does rust badly. Also its a pain to put all the parts back in if they all fall out bar the spanners which did happen to me once when it fell off a shelf. mplavery
I'm a bit of a tool collector so I'm always keeping an eye out on deals. I have a mixture of Halfords, Snap-on and Sealey tools..let's face it £135 for a 200 piece tool is nothing.. Especially if your starting out or enjoy working on your own cars at home like myself ... They offer lifetime guarantee which I don't think you need to show receipts for now .. I have only had one ratchet fail on me from Halfords and that was years ago .. Scooter
Picked mine up at lunchtime so thanks from me! I gathered up a fair few tools bit by bit over the years and have never had a dedicated set like this, it will save me many a walk backwards and forwards to the current tool chest
mplavery
Well done mate, I bought this kit a while ago on the same type of deal and also have a smaller set which is left in the car.. I'm slowly replacing my cheaper tools with decent stuff now. My dad is loving it as he gets my old tools lol
berg
90% of my collection now is halfords, including the industrial boxes and roller cab which i got on offer Ive managed to break my 1/4 ratchet which was down to my misuse, but it was the only thing that fit in the gap lol Also i broke a hex on the rear diff on my car, all were replaced though

mplavery
Just don't buy the Halfords screwdrivers as I have found them crap so I have Snap-on ones now I was lucky on my top and bottom boxes, years ago the the dealership I work at decided to have one style of tool boxes which look the same so all the Tecs had to remove there own boxes .. Few had to sell them so I bought one guys Snap-on top and bottom boxes for a good price.
mplavery
im looking for a decent box, machine mart had some on offer but quality waws poor Don't know what the Halfords boxes are like but they always do a deal on them too ... They look well built but never really taken a good look at them as I have a set
peter richards
just had a quick look on e bay at snap on boxes quite expensive and some are battered
mplavery
These Halfords boxes must be worth a look, they do quite a range of boxes but the more expensive ones have no deals on them
peter richards
ok thanks ill have a look
Hughdahellru
Had one of these sets a couple of years and can't fault it so far. Lifetime guarantee as well but i've yet to need to replace anything. Ratchet spanners are an excellent addition to a toolset!
j_jza80
The Halfords Industrial cabinets / drawers are about on par with the snap on ones for quality, but theyre much smaller. Perfect for home, but a mechanic would probably want a bigger set for work.
