Ibrar Jabbar
Bought this 280ZX a couple of weeks ago which I'm going to rip apart and modify. The car is in pretty good condition but will see when I start stripping it down. Here's what I have planned: Full respray in pearl white. Overfenders Bigger and wider wheels Coilovers Brake upgrade Ducktail spoiler Front air dam Remove bumpers and possibly fit 240Z bumpers Interior and motor will get an upgrade also. I will update as I go along.

Ibrar Jabbar
I bought this restored shell. Its the 2 seater version ZX with welded in roll cage, it's a much nicer shape.

Ibrar Jabbar
Thanks mate, got some great plans lined up for it.
Ibrar Jabbar
I sent the shell off to Dynotorque for Craig to work his magic on getting the engine and box mounted up. The 3UZ V8 that was destined for my black supra is now going into this mated up with a 6 speed gearbox from an M3. I fitted the rear mount sump from the soarer, however the front subframe had to be modified and fused with a subframe fom a 200sx S14 so we could use the more compact S14 steering rack for clearance. Gearbox mount mocked up but not finished as you can see.
Wez
Very nice, which gearbox and adapters are you using?
Ibrar Jabbar
I was going to use the PMC adapter but was then told that there kit uses a sleeve for the inputshaft to reach the spigot bearing which is not good, so I went with the one Nev sells I think its the TTC kit will get a picture tomorrow. Gearbox is from M3 E46

Luxluc
Lovely mate. Twin turbos would suit that V8

Ibrar Jabbar
Just a quick update on this before I lose track. I removed the engine and powder coated a load of parts, stripped the cam covers and welded on -10AN fittings. I also changed the timing belt, water pump and tensioner whilst everything was apart. Fitted the engine back in, ready to send back to Craig for the turbo install. And here it is all done fitted with a Garret GT3582R twin scroll with 1.06 housing and HKS 60mm wastegate. Next step is to rip it all back out and start on body prep, in the meantime I am experimenting with some overfenders. Watch this space, more to come soon...
