Wez
Be interesting to see if the value of the pound were to rise how quickly fuel prices would come down ! Pricing very rarely goes in favor of the customer, wholesale prices were already at record lows and we were paying much more than we should have
imi
Pricing very rarely goes in favor of the customer, wholesale prices were already at record lows and we were paying much more than we should have Exactly - A few threads on forums to vent our frustration is all that we can muster - in reality we as a nation are way too comfortable to be bothered. Annabella
Agreed, but soon as you try and muster a 'group' to protest, blockade or whatever you'd be arrested under terrorism laws or some other bull reasoning.
Al Massey
Petrol was more expensive in 2011 than it is now. But yeah let's blame brexit. Also, the price of oil has a sway on currencies. Also, fuel is purchased 6 months in advance. So guess what, the slump in the pound shouldn't have an affect on the price of fuel just yet. In fact, fuel should be really cheap as oil was really low. Guess what, we are getting screwed as usual. I remember when the whole country went nuts and protested when it was reaching £1. Oh those were the days

SupraAyf
The missus and I were in Plymouth at the weekend and one petrol outlet was charging 135.9 for diesel. Not good.
mc92
The official petitions site just seem like the government gets an intern to write out some tangentially related information then ignore it forever. Rubbish. We're always getting screwed on fuel prices with the cut the government takes. At least it's not back up to £1.30 again yet. Abz
Oil prices have gone up in the UAE too, due to the low cost of fuel. The prices have slashed by nearly 70% at the barrel, yet as consumers have you seen 70% reduction at the pumps? I think I might have saw perhaps 10% at the most. So who swallows up the other 60% we are over paying? It is clearly us being shafted, those you shouldn't question these things [emoji6]
Swampy442
Is always been the way, retailers put prices up overnight in reaction to higher oil prices, but dont drop them as quick due to 'stockpiles' and 'lag in the system' Basically greed and turning over billions in profit every quarter isn't enough for oil companies. When fuel duty goes up, then we'll know what being screwed is
