Tyson
I have a Lenovo t400 think pad and at present the hdd is maxed out. I really like the laptop and it does everything I need it to so I don't want a new one, it has a removable optical cd drive bay that can be used as another hdd. I haven't a clue what I need to convert it can someone help me. I'd like to use a genuine Lenovo if I can.
Bobbeh
I suspect you'll need a HDD conversion kit/bracket/tray to hold the smaller HDD in place? should connect as another SATA device you'd just need to reconfigure it in the BIOS once you hook it up. Annabella
Just buy a 240 or 480GB SSD, plug both drives into a desktop, run acronis clone disk, (can send you a code for it if you wish) make the source disk the existing (triple check this or you end up with 2 blank drives) and destination the new disk and you'll have your solution and a fast machine.
