Alfie
So I currently have hks hypermax 3 I'm guessing there quite old as I'm getting knocking noise from the rear , after phoning around to try and get them refurbed the price was more than getting new ones. There's a local place near me (GAZ Shocks) they are really helpful and have a set to fit on my car with adjustable damping and height and cheaper than it would cost for me to get mine rebuilt . Anyone think It's worth doing ?
Nic
Are you sure it's the coilovers that are knocking?
a98pmalcolm
I had HKS ones do that to me
Alfie
Well the top mount was pretty loose when took it off I'm guessing there old and it's more expensive to refurb them than to buy new ones lol
Swampy442
Gaz stuff is great, well known and have UK support. I dont see a downside.
Alfie
GAZ works out around £400-500 for all 4 new and can be built To how I want , where others like hks or bilsteins are £1000-1600 and then if I ever get future problems it's going to be a lot more to sort than going back to GAZ and they are 5minuets away from me
Alfie
But obviously I won't rush into this as I only want quality products on the car but also value for money!
Stonkin
I had Gaz Gold shocks on my Chimaera and they were always fantastic
Alfie
Wicked, I'm still debating . Would you say there as good as bilsteins ? It's only a around town type of car doesn't get used much and never going on track
Frank Bullitt
If you are looking for a decent suspension set-up you should be speaking to Chris Wilson (http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/member.php?54-Chris-Wilson) the forums Geometry Specialist. He can get Bilsteins custom valved to which ever spec you require and also sells his own customs springs specifically for the Supra. He likes to be contacted via email ([email protected]) or phone (07971-952084).

Cheers mate did speak to Chris a while back , was double the price of GAZ shocks and over 3 hours away but I'm still half tempted to let chris do it . Worth paying for the experience and been told bilsteins work wonders on it
Angarak
I had Chris fit his custom valved Bilstein setup back in June. I'm very happy with it. It's a better ride than my previous HKS Hypermax setup.
