RobSheffield
i have a [perhaps not] complete cruise system i purchased from a very nice member. i have succesfully fitted the wheel and actuator to the car....now im looking for a big green plug to fit to the ECU, but cant see it anywhere is it likely to be on a 95 TT 6 speed if so, where is it taped up if not, can i get one from Toyota, and whats the part number? Branners
is that the plug in the inner arch or behind the dash? All the bits that could have come with the cruise should have been there. I believe Phil Wall and Snoop Dogg have retro fitted cruise so may be worth having a chat with them. JB

TLicense
I believe the piece of loom you require is referred to as "cowl wire no.2" I'll find out the part number tonight. If it's anything like the engine wire I looked at getting, it'll be hellish expensive from Toyota (£900!) Do you have the clutch switch? You'll also need the above wire to get the plug that connects onto the switch. Which is where I'm at.....

JB the actuator is plugged to a grey plug and loom on the engine side of the inner arch - is there a loom to go from the back of that into the car, and another then to Cruise ECU and whats this clutch one all about!? Branners
If you mean the cruise ECU unit then that plugs in behind the speedo unit. If the grey plug is done in the inner arch then that means the other end of it should exist and it should be behind the speedo. You will need to pull the whole speedo/rev counter out to get to it. the clutch switch is to disengage the cruise if you hit the clutch. You can disengage the cruise by pulling the cruise lever towards you, by tapping the brakes or by using the clutch. Without the clutch switch you could put the clutch down and the engine will keep revving. If you are in an auto then I dont think you will need it. TLicense
Lol, not massively. I've done without cruise control for nearly 2 years now, but having said that I can't imagine the airmail cost would be that much as it's not exactly a massive part.
