So I'm flying to the US this weekend for a work trip and if Trump has his way then its my last trip to the States. :taped:

Although he has absurd polices I do want him to win.

Build an impenetrable wall along the 2,000-plus-mile US-Mexico border and Ban all "MOOOSLUMS"

People seem to forget that Mexico built the wall/fence first.

I thought I'd never say but I enjoy living in a dictatorship state. Politics has been turned into some game show, not realising they are there to serve the people.

The most worrying thought is that in a huge country full of very talented people that is the best they have come up with. That is what it has boiled down to, good luck to them as they'll need it being in a fail fail situation.

I can just imagine Donald is now making a few memo notes before hitting the media:

TRUMP logo on Air Force One

TRUMP sign on White House lawn

Start building a brick making facility in Mexico

Grab some pussy

Lock up Hillary

Looking forward to the nice stuff my favourite pub landlord put aside for a Trump victory tomorrow night.

I feel in the early stages of a hangover already https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif

Indeed, 2016 - the rise of the far right and populism. Hold on to your hats!

I wouldn't call it a rise of the far right, more of a rejection of career politicians and their solution to every problem; 'more of the same'. Look at Sanders, Corbyn etc, and left Wing populist groups rising in various parts of Europe.

People are also becoming utterly sick of the regressive celebrity twitterati. The 'politics' (virtue signalling) of people like Bob Geldof, Russell Brand, Eddie Izzard, Lilly Allen etc is being utterly rejected.

Absolutely. Far right is becoming mainstream.

Corbyn has released a statement saying that this is a rejection of establishment politics, that's makes as much sense as people voting Brexit thinking they were "sticking it to the man".

It's a victory that's been won on the rise of bigotry, sexism, xenophobia, and lies, and people applaud that as if it's a good thing.
